Mount Cars Drivers T&C’s
General 1.0
- You should only log in when you are ready to accept work.
- You may work multi platforms, however if you receive a job on another platform, you must log off our platform, until you are clear. Failure to do so will result in a timed suspension.
- Overcharging is frowned upon, you should only ever charge the price shown on your PDA, discrepancies must be verified with the duty controller before a passenger leaves your vehicle. If deemed to have overcharged, you will be suspended and must bring the over payment back to the passenger at your own cost.
- You must check your vehicle for any left items (lost property) after every trip. Any lost property must be reported to the duty controller and must be handed into the Chingford Mount office before the end of your shift. Failure to do so will result in a suspension. If the item is not returned to the office within 24hours of being reported, you will be expected to deliver the item back to the passenger at your own expense.
- Complaints raised by passengers as a formal complaint will be forwarded to TFL, this is a duty of our service by TFL. You will be contacted and asked for your version of events which will be added to the report. Any action taken by TFL will be between you and them from this point. Depending on the nature of the complaint, at office level you will either be verbally spoken to, issed a warning, or asked to leave with immediate effect. This is down to managements descretion.
- If you receive 3 complaints formal or not in a 12-month period, you can be released from our service and forfeit your deposit.
- Updated documents must be submitted at least 24hours before they expire, to prevent loss of service due to expiry of current documents.
- Office staff will not tolerate any abusive or aggressive language or behaviour towards them. This includes being sworn at. If you have an issue raise it and give us time to investigate it. Abusive and Aggressive behaviour will result in a termination of service, and you will lose your deposit.
- You must be logged in by the agreed shift pattern shift start time, failure to do so will result in a sinbin for a period. You will not be removed until this time has elapsed.
- If offered a job, it is because you are the closest available driver. You must either accept the job offer (Expected) or reject it. Do not ignore it as this delays jobs and forces a job rejection anyway.
- All drivers are allowed 3 job rejections, after this number has exceeded you will be sin binned for 15 minutes, this will happen continuesly through your shift.
- You must NEVER allow a passenger in your vehicle without having a live job on your system. This is classed as ‘touting’ and if found doing so by TFL inspectors you will lose your license! It is also classed as theft from the office as you won’t be charged by the office but will collect the fare. If found to be doing this, you can be dismissed from the office and will lose your deposit.
- If you require time off, you must inform the duty controller. Any driver who has not worked for the past month will be classed as left. Any driver who has not worked for more than 2 months without informing the office will lose their deposit.
- Any driver found consistently requesting cash only work, and/or proven to consistently reject non-cash only work, can without notice be changed onto a cash only tariff charged at a higher rate of commission.
- Guarantee of earnings is not provided, as an operator we will provide work taken and dispatch accordingly to the needs of the office. The best earning drivers are found to work full daily shifts, take limited breaks, accept and complete all job offers regardless of payment, makes minimal contact with the office and is willing to run to secure work.
- Our fares are calculated based on the shortest milage using Bing mapping. This is what we base job milage on not what your own sat nav dictates as the milage.
- Non-payment of services are not the responsibility of the office. We will do everything we can to secure your payment either before, during or after the job commences, but we cannot guarantee payments on any booking.
- Any issued PNC’s (Parking Charge notices) are the responsibility of you as the driver. We are happy to provide you with any evidence to help challenge these, but we take no responsibility for paying challenging these for you on your behalf.
- While working, you should never have anyone except you and your booking passengers in the vehicle together.
- You should never use your mobile device while driving, this includes calls on bluetooh handsfree. Passengers are paying for a service you are providing, it is bad practice and frown upon by the office. Use of your mobile device without bluetooth is not just an office policy it is illegal.
